Rules for Support Crews
- A crew member is simply a friend or family member that can help supply his/her runner with motivation, food, first aid, advice etc.
- Runners receiving aid from crews outside the designated crew access points are subject to disqualification
- Crew members must not block any vehicle in and park only in designagted areas.
- Crews are asked to keep headlights off and be as quiet as possible when parked as other crew members/pacers and even runners may be trying to sleep.
- A crew member is prohibited from running with his/her runner.
- Crew access is allowed in only three aid stations on the course: Start/Finish, Savanah Corner, and Hard-Up Ahead.
- Runners are responsible for the actions of their crew and pacer.
- Crew members are asked to save the aid station food and drink for the runners and pacers.
- Crews are not allowed on any section of the course during the race.
- No littering.
- All animals must be leashed at all times.
- If your runner drops from the race, double check they have followed the proper procedures.
- Due to the normal dry condition of the grass in the fall and the fire dangers, we request that there be “No Smoking” on the course.
- Maps to Savanah Corner (Mile 13.7) and Hard-Up Ahead (mile 22.4) will be provided in your packet.
