Two Options, One Big Turkey Mountain Adventure. Similar to an adventure race but you find paperback books along the trails. To prove that you found all the books you have to rip out the page number that corresponds to your bib #. The 4-6 mile day run starts at or around 6:30pm. This what we call the "Fun Run" The night run will start once it is food and dark andis much more treacherous. You WILL get lost. We restrict this adventure to experienced trail runners & TATUR MEMBERS ONLY!! You will get a very crude map, some vague instructions and be forced to pair up with at least one person who knows the mountain. It will take anywhere from 2-5 hours to finish. THERE WILL BE SOME SURPRISES !!! |

Whether you want to pound the pavement or do it in the dirt, this event is for you. Athletes will have their choice of a 24, 12 or 6-hour race on either a relatively flat asphalt trail or on a slightly technical trail equipped with dirt, rocks, roots, tree branches and depending on the weather, maybe a little mud. Both trails will be measured and that distance will be multiplied by the total number of laps a runner completes to give total mileage. Exact mileage will be posted at a later date, but it will be real near one mile. |
