            Inaugural Glens Run (12 km & 3 km)

The Tulsa Running Club hopes that you will come and honor the man who gave so much to Tulsa's Running Community !!! Proceeds for this event will benefit Glen's Memorial Foundation.  A memorial will be built in Glen's honor in River Parks.  (www.glensfoundation.org) Glen was a true pioneer in Oklahoma road race administration and course measurement. Glen was inducted into the USATF Oklahoma Wall of fame in 2006. This race features two perfectly flat and fast USATF certified couses with the start/finish in the same area.  Splits will be called at each km. Standard USATF Age Group and Clydesdale/Filly weight groups awards plus top three male/female racewalkers.  Food, drink, and door prizes after the race.  This is a Tulsa Running Club Race.

Mohawk Park Info:

This sprawling 2,806-acre park near Tulsa International Airport includes the Tulsa Zoo, a reservoir with boating and fishing, riding trails, a golf course and acres of wooded picnic areas. Also within the park is the Oxley Nature Center, consisting of 800-acres of protected land with hiking trails for students of nature. Come and spend the day. The park entrance is located one half-mile east of North Sheridan on 36th Street North. Sheltered picnic areas can be reserved.

It is the largest park in the Tulsa County area, as well as one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. The park is just across North Port Road from the Tulsa International Airport. The park is home to the Mohawk Park Golf Course and two lakes, Lake Yahola and Recreation Lake, making it an ideal locale for all forms of outdoor activitiy.
